Almost 4 years ago my husband and I purchased River City Resorts from his sister. It was a well-established business that came with well-established vendors that for the first 9 months, we never questioned who they were or why the company used them. The company had a chargeback that we had to protest in the summer of 2013, and at Rezfest 2013 during a group session, we spoke to a property manager who referred us to Ascent Processing. We met with Dawn Yeskulsky at the Ascent vendor’s booth and exchanged information. Ascent ran an evaluation on our credit card charges and found that we would be saving thousands of dollars in credit card fees using their company. Ascent also took our contract and online reservation contract and assisted us in formatting it specifically to cover the company in regards to chargebacks. Since that time, we have had only one issue in regards to a “chargeback” and it was actually in regards to a deposit refund which wasn’t even due to the customer yet. We have been approached by several different credit card companies in regards to changing services and our response has been a flat “No, we use a company that is an ‘Expert’ in the Vacation Rental industry and are not interested in a change.” Dawn and the staff at Ascent have been extremely helpful in any assistance that we have and I highly recommend them as your preferred credit card processing company.
